Classifications and results in regularity rallies

Blunik Precision Chrono arround Europe

Can you use Blunik in the Rally Monte-Carlo Histórique 2020?

Yes of course. In this post we clarify all the doubts about it and we also give you a summary of the functions that Blunik has for the Historic Monte-Carlo Rally.

Many of you have asked us if you can take your Blunik devices in the next Monte-Carlo 2020 Rally. Here is the answer:

We can assure you that ACM (Automobile Club of Monaco) allows you to carry two devices as long as they do not have an antenna.

You can consult section 20.4 of the regulation.

In an annex to the regulation they clarified that a device that indicates regularity with LEDs is also considered a device for the co-pilot. So for those of you who have a Blunik and a Screen, you don't have to have any problem.

The other accessory devices without display or LEDs for regularity that are not installed in the car (such as Acoustic, Sport-Drive, B-Remote ...) are devices that are considered by hand-held measuring devices (such as a chronometer) and they are all authorized.

If you have noticed, they specify that you can not use devices with antenna. This does not affect at all Blunik devices that go with sensors on the wheel to obtain accuracy in reading the meters traveled. This section is aimed at devices with GPS, which are not allowed, even if they hide the antenna.

The spirit of the Monte-Carlo Historic Rally has a lot to do with visiting the areas where the rally passes. This is why the tour is made public and is encouraged to go to practice and see the sections, visit the area and do some tourism. We understand that the ACM does not like that you can have the route memorized in the GPS device without having made any effort or visit in the area.

Blunik has specific functions to do the Monte-Carlo Rally. We detail them below:

With Blunik II:

  • You can have two trips: a trip for the sections and a trip for the whole section. It is necessary to use Monte-Carlo mode.
